Japan’s HUNT magazine features Rota
Japan’s HUNT magazine has produced a guidebook about Rota for distribution last month.
The Marianas Visitors Authority accompanied a writer and photographer from the magazine to Rota on Nov. 11-15, 2015, to gather content for the 16-page, full-color guidebook. In addition to the 50,000 copies scheduled to be circulated as a magazine insert last month, an additional 5,000 will be provided to the MVA for distribution to travel agencies and consumers.
“The island of Rota offers unique appeal as an unspoiled paradise with rich natural resources, including quarry such as the sambar deer,” said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “HUNT’s guidebook will share information about the opportunities in Rota to enjoy hunting and fishing…and hopefully some fresh ‘kelaguen binadu’ [deer kelaguen] for the skilled hunter.”
HUNT is a popular lifestyle magazine targeting active men in their 30s-60s who like to travel, fish, and explore the outdoors. HUNT is published quarterly by Neko Publishing. (MVA)
