Oil prices go down again

Oil prices have gone down once again on Saipan.

Mobil Oil Marianas decreased their prices by $0.10 per gallon.

From the previous, $3.689 per gallon, Mobil now sells their regular gasoline at $3.589. Their premium gasoline, Super, is at $3.909 down from $4.009 per gallon.

For diesel, Mobil sells now at $3.669 per gallon from the previous $3.769.

Mobil implemented the price decrease yesterday at around 1pm.

For Shell Marianas, a 10-cent decrease was also implemented for their regular gasoline which is also now at $3.589.

Their premium gas, V-power, it is now at $3.719 per gallon from the previous $3.819.

Their diesel, however, was reduced by 15 cents lowering it from $3.819 to $3.669, matching Mobil’s price.

Shell decreased their prices around 3:40pm.

Mobil customer Chris Meyers, a resident of Gualo Rai said he didn’t notice the 10-cent decrease.

“I always get premium so I don’t usually mind the prices anymore because it’s always high,” Meyers.

However, he said at least there is some kind of saving with the prices going down today.

Jayson Camacho said he also didn’t notice the prices going down but echoed the same sentiment.

“It’s good that the gas prices are going down,” Camacho said, “It’s some savings.”

  1. EH? try $1.69 and going lower in places. Who has the monopoly for receiving/distributing fuels and what are they really paying. The WHOLE world is awash in fuel oils right now and it costs more to keep it on a tanker than is does to transport and deliver it. A load today might be worth 85% tomorrow plus transportation costs. Someone is getting hosed and someone is really getting over, care to guess who is who? Singapore spot price for 92 octane was $2.85 today regular even less. http://www.platts.com/news-feature/2013/oil/asia-pricing/gasoline
