Charges vs reservist Jucutan reduced
A superseding indictment was filed in federal court against Jordan M. Jucutan, a teacher and a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, accused of stealing referral bonuses from the U.S. Army Reserves totaling $9,000 by fraudulently claiming that he recruited five potential soldiers and claiming the cash incentives for himself.
The superseding indictment basically reduced the charges to six from 15 charges in the original indictment.
The superseding indictment charged Jucutan with three counts of wire fraud and three counts of aggravated identity theft.
The original indictment charged Jucutan with theft of government property, five counts of aggravated identity theft, and nine counts of wire fraud.
The defendant has pleaded not guilty of the charges in the original indictment.
