The Triple J Saipan team participated in the 30th Annual Red Cross Walk-a-Thon last Saturday, April 30. Despite slight showers throughout the morning, the Triple J team of 23 participants walked the 5-kilometer course.

“It was a pleasure to get out there and participate with my Triple J family. It was wonderful to experience with others who are also doing something healthy for a great cause, it’s amazing to see.” Perry Inos Jr. said after the event.

This was the first year for Triple J to walk as a team in the Walk-a-Thon that saw thousands of participants. Way more than walking, the event had healthy food cooking demonstrations, blood pressure checks, and flu shot stations.

In addition to participating in the walk, Triple J donated $1,000 in pledges to the Red Cross, which goes toward helping those still affected by Typhoon Soudelor.
