Torres signs House Bill 20-116, SD2 into law
Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres signed House Bill 20-116, SD2 into law yesterday.
Authored by Rep. Angel A. Demapan, the bill appropriates $7,129,041.76 to pay the balance of the annual payments due to the Settlement Fund for fiscal years 2014 and 2015.
“I commend the members of both House and the Senate for working together to address the issues deliberately and for prioritizing the protection of our retirees’ pensions. This is our collective commitment for acting in the best interests of our retirees and their families,” Torres said.
The bill becomes Public Law 20-09. (PR)
