BEH closes Nipa Hut in Garapan
The Bureau of Environmental Health suspended the Nipa Hut restaurant in Garapan after a sanitary inspection in November.
In an earlier interview, BEH director John M. Tagabuel explained that establishments that receive a Grade C rating are suspended but will be able to operate again once they correct the problems cited.
“Even with a Grade C rating, establishments still have an opportunity to resume operations after they identify discrepancies and are able to implement corrective actions that will satisfy BEH standards,” Tagabuel said.
Retail, eating, and drinking establishments that garner a score between 90 and100 are given a Grade A rating.
At the last inspection, these include the Green Meadow Daycare (Gualo Rai), Pure Love Daycare (Gualo Rai), Best Market (Koblerville), Vi-Lyn’s BBQ Stands (Garapan), Mariana Resorts’ Gekka Teppanyaki Bar, main kitchen, Le Stella, 12th Night, gift shop, Pudu King Café, Ocean Retail, and employee’s cafeteria (Marpi), Pearl River wholesale and packing (Chalan Laulau), Smart Start Nurturing Center (Garapan), Monster Pizza (Garapan), I Shop Saipan (Garapan), Good Day Restaurant (Susupe), LF Restaurant (Chalan Kanoa), Korean Community School (Afetna), Susan’s BBQ stand (San Vicente), San Jose Mart Refilling Station (San Jose), San Roque market & Butcher (San Roque), Bostonian Bakery (Chalan Laulau), Gusto Product (Fina Sisu), Sura (Garapan), Chinen Ice Candy Retail and Manufacture (Garapan), Pier Restaurant (Garapan), WJC Fish Mart (San Vicente), 9 Eleven Restobar (San Jose), CHCC cafeteria (Navy Hill), Saipan Panda Store (Susupe and Garapan), Cool Market (Fina Sisu), Hua Noni Soap & Coconut Product Wholesale (Garapan), Ajisen Ramen (Garapan), Himawari Bakery and Retail, Angel Snack Bar (San Jose), and Pajukol Restaurant (San Antonio)
