The Korean Women’s Association hosted their annual Christmas luncheon for the man’amko yesterday at the Office on Aging.

About seven women from the association served the man’amko food and distributed Korean beauty products.

According to association member Simon Song, the event is nothing new because the association strives to give back to the community and the man’amko are near and dear to their hearts.

According to Office on Aging program coordinator Orlando Limes, the association consistently provides services for the man’amko and the holidays is no exception. For years the Korean Women’s Association has brought holiday cheer to the Office on Aging through the distribution of gifts and throwing the man’amko a Christmas luncheon. A couple of times every month, the association provides free haircuts to the elderly.

According to Saipan Seniors Advisory Council president Teresita Sorrozo, the man’amko, including herself, are grateful for the care and support the Korean Women’s Association shows the man’amko.

The man’amko received gifts, a buffet of Korean cuisine, and were graced with the company of the members of the association.
