Tagaman Triathlon registration on
The 29th Tagaman Triathlon is slated for March 24 and online registration has started.
Registration is available online at www.webscorer.com under Race ID 116992 or by linking via www.saipantriathlon.com The registration fees on or before Feb. 28 are $120/solo for 70.3 and $100 solo/$200 team for 51.50. Registration after February 28 will be $150/solo for 70.3 and $120 solo/$240 team for 51.50. The last day to register is March 17.
The Tagaman Triathlon is an annual signature event of the Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA), aimed at attracting visiting athletes and media coverage for The Marianas. Organization of this year’s event has been co-hosted and in cooperation with Triathlon Association of the CNMI (TRAC). The official triathlon hotel is Kanoa Resort.
“The MVA is looking forward to again working with TRAC in continuing the Tagaman tradition with another great race this year,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “Tagaman remains one of our foundation races as we continue to grow the reputation of The Marianas as an ideal sports destination.”
This year’s starting point and swim leg will be held in the waters off Kanoa Resort. Bikers will then transition at Minachom Atdao pavilion in Susupe and make the 40K bike course to Banzai Cliff and back, while 70.3 participants will go all the way to Koblerville and back. The 10K run will turn around at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan, while 70.3 will have to do two loops at the pathway to complete the course.
Cash prizes await the Top 3 finishers in the women’s and men’s open categories: $1,000 for first place, $700 for secnd place, and $500 for third place. Medals will be awarded for the age group division winners, team, and individual finishers respectively.
