2 Saipan nominees for Bizwoman of the Year award
Two of the seven nominees for this year’s 2018 Businesswoman of the Year award are Saipan businesswomen: Gloria C. Cavanagh and Donna S. Krum.
Cavanagh is the general manager of Pacific Islands Club Saipan and chairs the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands. Krum is president of Friends First Marketing Inc. and co-owner of Paradise Dental Center.
The other nominees are Anna Gera-Van Seters, area manager, Fleet Card and Commercial Fuels, South Pacific Petroleum Corp.; Chito de Guzman-Aguilo, food and beverage director, Guam Reef & Olive Spa Resort; Grace Jacot, president and CEO, SET Pacific Inc.; Traci “TC” Jordan, founder and CEO, Xokiahi Cares Inc.; and Kathleen M. Thomas-Benavente; owner, event planner and stylist, The Occasion.
The award, presented by First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business magazine, will be presented to one winner at the Businesswoman of the Year gala on April 28 at the Hyatt Regency Guam in conjunction with the release of the Guam Business magazine May-June issue, which will feature a commissioned photo of the recipient on its cover.
In its 13th year, the award program recognizes businesswomen in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands who have made significant contributions to their industries and have demonstrated a strong commitment to their community.
Through proceeds from the gala, the program also funds scholarships for students pursuing business and related degrees at the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College.
