Guerrero is Saipan’s newest Rotarian

Rotary Club of Saipan members welcomed a new member during the club’s weekly meeting last Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni restaurant.

First Hawaiian Bank business banking officer Dave Guerrero was sworn in by Rotary Club president Thomas Thornburgh.

Although he is not acquainted with many of the current Rotary members and he isn’t familiar with many faces at the club, Guerrero said he was prompted to join as he is passionate about making Saipan the best that it can be for his two children.

According to Thornburgh, becoming a member of the Rotary Club gives people the ability to do more for the community.

Before officially inducting Guerrero, Thornburgh reminded him that being a part of the Rotary Club means he is considered to be a role model in his line of work, as well as in the community.

“We look to you to be a liaison between us and the other members of your profession…and it becomes your duty to carry Rotary ideals and principle service to your friends, business associates, and the members of the location which you represent,” he said.
