There will be scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, affecting Tanapag and San Roque villages:

– 7am to 11am: Chalan Pale Arnold Road in Tanapag

– 7am to 11am: Haraw Street in Tanapag

– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Haraw Street in Tanapag

– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Tanapag Elementary School

– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: San Roque Elementary School

No water well or wastewater lift station will be affected.

The purpose of the power interruptions is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. contractor, Primary Source Electric, to safely replace six wooden power poles along the Feeder 7 distribution circuit in Tanapag and in San Roque.

The project task is a component of CUC’s Hazard Mitigation Project that entails the replacement of 787 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan.

Primary Source Electric will be replacing a total of 374 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.
