Liberation Day sked out
The 2018 Liberation Day Parade will be held on July 4, 2018, at 3pm from National Office Supply to Garapan Fishing Base. Fireworks will be at 10pm at the Garapan Fishing Base. For parade staging, Beach Road will be closed to through traffic from Quarter Master Road north to Mariana Lounge at 12pm. Also, the inner lanes from Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road intersection north to Quartermaster Road will be closed at 12pm, although outer lanes can be utilized for through traffic. All floats should enter the parade line through Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road intersection. Marching units and other vehicle units may enter the parade line through Quartermaster Road (recommended) or Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road intersection.

Library closed on July 5
In lieu of the 73rd Annual Liberation Day, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be closed on Thursday, July 5, 2018 for admin leave. Regular summer library hours will resume on Friday, July 6, 2018 (see below for summer hours).

NAP office to remain open on Thursday
The Nutrition Assistance Program office under the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs will remain open on Thursday, July 5, 2018 to distribute benefits for certified households with last names beginning with the letters A to C from 8am to 3pm.
Additionally, the NAP’s Certification Unit office will be open from 8am to 6pm for re-certification of ongoing household applicants and application services for new applicants.
The NAP office is located at the JTV Building in As Lito.
