A total of 400 people availed of the services of the Philippine Consulate General in Guam during an outreach at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral Social Hall on Saipan last week.

The consular outreach conducted last Tuesday through Thursday served a total of 409 Filipinos, including 394 passport renewals, two reports of lost ePassports, five passport extensions, one visa application, one jurat (affidavit), three reports of birth, one report of marriage, and two dual citizenship applications.

The previous consular outreach from Aug. 21, 2018 through Aug. 23, 2018 processed similar numbers—394 of the expected 420 passport renewal applications. All in all, 640 instances of services were provided during their previous outreach in August 2018, 220 of which were or overseas voting registrations.

Philippine Consul to Guam Mark Francis Hamoy earlier told Saipan Tribune that they were expecting to process 420 passport renewal applications.

He also previously noted that the outreach was the last chance for individuals who want to register as an absentee voter for the upcoming 2019 Philippine elections.

After Sept. 30, 2018, in order to register as an overseas voter, one must at least fly to Guam to visit the Philippine Consulate General.
