As part of its efforts to connect students and other jobseekers with prospective employers, the Northern Marianas College will be hosting its annual Career Fair Day on Thursday, April 3, 2014. All community members are invited to attend this free event.
The Career Fair, which will be held from 9am to 12pm at NMC’s Building D, will feature several private sector companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies that are looking to fill key vacancies within their organizations.

At the Fair, jobseekers will be able to meet and speak with recruiters and representatives from the Public School System, Pacific Islands Club, J.C. Tenorio Enterprises, Commonwealth Utilities Corp., Office of Personnel Management, DFS Saipan Ltd., Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Sorensen Media Group, Hyatt Regency Saipan, CNMI Department of Labor: Employment Services and Workforce Investment Agency, CDI Workforce Development, College Access Challenge Grant, NMC Human Resources, and more.

The Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence will be also participating in the career fair to boost membership, recruit volunteers, and promote activities for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, including Project PROM.

“We are grateful for the support that we got from businesses in the community,” said Neda C. Deleon Guerrero, Career Services manager. “We look forward to helping many members of the community to connect with prospective employers.”

Jobseekers who plan to attend the fair are encouraged to dress professionally, prepare copies of updated résumés, expect one-on-one time with employers, and be ready for on the spot interviews. Participants are also asked to prepare to answer and ask questions, to be clear and engaging when speaking, and most importantly, to exhibit confidence.

For further information about the Career Fair, contact Deleon Guerrero at 237-6769 or via email at neda.dlguerrero@marianas.edu or visit www.marianas.edu. The Career Fair is supported by the College Access Challenge Grant program. (NMC)
