Power interruption on Wednesday

There will be scheduled power interruptions on Wednesday, July 31, from 8:30am to 2pm, with primary conductors at Isley Field set to be replaced.

According to a Commonwealth Utilities Corp. notice, the sectionalized feeder outage on the Kiya 1 distribution circuit will affect Dandan and the Isley Field. This will cause a momentary outage in Obyan village, Sky Chef, and the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting facilities.

Water wells affected include the Isley Wells, IF: 19, 20, and 21. No wastewater lift station will be affected.

The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from CUC to safely replace 13,000 linear feet of primary conductors.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area. (PR)
