MP United Football Club pounced on Shirley’s Football Club, 15-2, during their co-ed U12 division game in the 2019 NMIFA Fall Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

William Lee, Miles Linden, and Takeru Jim toyed around the defense of Shirley’s, as the trio combined for 11 goals to hand MP United it’s first win of the season after three games. William Lee made four goals after scoring in the fifth, 17th, 20th, and 26th minute, while Liden duplicated the feat with his goals in the second, sixth, ninth, and 14th minute. Jim had a hat trick, as he found the back of the net in the third, seventh, and 23th minute.

Three more MP United players hit the board in the team’s lopsided win with Tom Kim adding two goals and Xavier Lee and Jeff Kim contributing one each. Edward Arriola III and Benneton Haro delivered the pair of goals for Shirley’s, which remained winless after three matches.

TanHoldings 3, Kanoa 2
TanHoldings notched its third victory in as many games after edging Kanoa in the other co-ed U12 division tiff last weekend.

Andrei Kaithlyn Chavez gave TanHoldings’ two early goals, as she scored in the 15th and 16th minute, while Mark Ryan Costales nailed the insurance in the 61st.

Paul Lizama posted the two goals for Kanoa with his first in the seventh minute keeping the team in contention. His second goal was made in the 69th minute and Kanoa ran out of time to catch up, as about a minute after Lizama’s conversion, the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the match.

With TanHoldings holding a 3-0-0 win-draw-loss record, it remained on top of the team standings, while Kanoa dropped to second with a 2-0-1 slate.

BOYS U15 DIVISION
Kanoa 1, MP United 1

Kanoa and MP United shared similar records in the five-team division after their first duel this season resulted in a draw.

Dylan Mister drilled the equalizer for MP United in the 68th minute, giving his team a 2-1-0 mark.

Earlier in the 18th minute, John Mark Anastacio’s goal put Kanoa on the board and closer to the solo lead in the division before Mister spoiled the party in the second half.

TanHoldings 4, Shirley’s 1
TanHoldings barged into the win column in the boys U15 division after downing Shirley’s FC.

Mark Joseph Roque drew first blood for TanHoldings with his goal in the 19th minute, while the team’s three other goals were posted in the second half. Ariel Narvaez and Oliver Fajardo gave TanHoldings quick back-to-back goals with the former scoring in the 50th minute and the latter in the 51st. Kohtaro Goto closed out for TanHoldings in the 69th minute, while Shirley’s lone goal came from Gabriel Arkoh, Jr. earlier in the 39th.

With its 1-0-1 record, TanHoldings kept the No. 2 spot in the team standings, while Shirley’s is at the bottom, sharing similar 0-0-2 marks with idle Matansa.
