The United Filipino Organization is offering its services to anyone who wants to donate money for the people who are affected by last Sunday’s eruption of Taal Volcano in the Philippines.

“We’re trying to collect money first, so we can send the cash there or have one of the officers from UFO go to the Philippines and buy the goods to distribute to the people in need,” said UFO president Marcelo Masilungan.

According to him, some people have already donated to UFO and other who are also trying to reach out with donations. He hopes to collect as much money as they can by next week Friday Jan. 24.

If you want to donate cash, visit the Supertech Saipan office in Garapan across Quick Print. If anyone wants to give a check, make sure to make it payable to the United Filipino Organization and turn it over to Supertech Saipan.

“I think that a little goes a long way, whether you want to donate 50 cents or $1. Every single penny counts. We can help a lot of families in that area,” said Masilungan
UFO is the umbrella organization of Filipino groups on Saipan.
