The Philippine Consulate General in Guam held its first mobile consular services for the year on Saipan starting last Friday at the Sun Palace Hotel in Susupe.

In all, the consulate general will be having five to six mobile consular services in the CNMI that would also include Tinian and Rota, according to consul Mark Francis Hamoy.

The four-day mobile consular services ended last Tuesday and Hamoy said they were expecting 560 passport renewals, based on pre-registration.

Aside from passport renewals, the Philippine Consulate General in Guam also conducted voter registration and applications for passport extensions, visa requests, dual citizenship, and jurat (affidavit). It also accepted reports of lost ePassports as well as births and marriages.

Hamoy said the voter registration would enable Filipino citizens in the CNMI to cast their votes in the 2022 Philippine Presidential Election.

The next consular outreach will be held in April.

“We are hoping that many Filipinos will actively register, and overseas voters are encouraged to make sure that they are obtaining their information from reliable sources,” he said.
