What happened?
It was Halloween where it brings the whole community out together. I was a pretty shy kid but a day like Halloween was a perfect excuse for me to hangout with other neighbors without being a stranger. I brought very few of my friends out, together dressed up as a zombie. Our face was still recognizable, but was still excited for all the candies we’ll get; they rushed to other neighbors’ houses to collect candies. But I still hesitated to ask for candies. Soon later, I got tired of following my friends doing nothing and standing still under the porch light but I still wanted to enjoy this special day. So, I went back to my home to find a mask that looks like someone else. And then, I found one, it was extremely realistic that I got scared of but I still used it. As I went back out, all of the people near me were watching me strangely. I hated this atmosphere, I yelled my friends’ name, and then I finally found them. But they didn’t recognize me. At first, I thought they were joking around but they really seem like they don’t know me. So I tried to take off the mask but as I tried it felt like my skin is tearing down with it.
