Marianas to see a rainy weekend

The Marianas is expected to experience a rainy weekend due to a surface trough that will produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

As of 6pm yesterday, the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, reported that moderate east winds will prevail through today before decreasing and turning to the south Saturday.

Combined seas of 4 to 6 feet will continue through Monday with an upper-level low to produce isolated thunderstorms through tonight. A surface trough will produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.

From Friday through Saturday the weather is expected to be cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms. East winds will reach 10 to 15 mph becoming light in the evening. Highs around 88. Lows near 77.

On Saturday night through Sunday mostly cloudy weather is expected, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms and light and variable winds with lows around 76.

From Monday night through Thursday, expect partly cloudy weather with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
