Chenille “Chanel” Elayda Espinosa

U.S. Air Force airman Chenille “Chanel” Elayda Espinosa recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Espinosa, a former student of Saipan Southern High School, and an athlete for Saipan’s women basketball and softball teams, completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Out of the 15 Flights, Espinosa’s Flight Crew also won Commander’s Excellence. This was also the first squadron to have families come over since 2019 due to the COVID-19. pandemic.

Espinosa is the daughter of Darius and Grace Espinosa, sister of Nicole Joy, Jayden Keith, and a fellow airman Daryl “DJ” Espinosa. who is currently active in the U.S. Air Force and also an alumnus of Saipan Southern High School. (PR)
