The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to update the public on the emergency water service interruption that occurred last Sunday, Sept. 12, for customers in the Kagman, Papago, San Vicente, Upper Dandan Homestead, Obyan and Naftan areas.
As of Tuesday, water services have been restored to the Papago, San Vicente, Upper Dandan Homestead, Obyan and Naftan areas. However, customers in the Kagman area are still experiencing low pressure to no water services. See schedule below for the water service hours:
• Kagman 1, Kagman 2 and Kagman 3 (Phase 4) – Scheduled to go offline yesterday at 2:30pm for water operators to remove an existing gate valve on restricting water flow to the affected areas.
• Kagman 3- Online but scheduled to be shut-off yesterday evening at 7pm until today, Sept. 16, at 6am.
CUC water operators are also performing a leak repair near the Ates Drive and Kamachili Avenue intersection in Kagman 2.
For the safety of the men and women at the jobsite, motorists are asked to proceed with caution when traveling through the working area. CUC appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as we continue to provide reliable service to the people of the CNMI.
The Saipan Mayor’s Office’s water tankers are still available at the Kagman Community Center for customers to fill up their gallons. Customers are welcome to retrieve water at this location.
