Rip currents seen until Sunday
The CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point is warning the public that there is a high risk of rip currents on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota through Sunday afternoon.
Dangerous rip currents are expected in east facing reefs. Swimming will be hazardous. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Reefs facing north to northeast will have an elevated rip risk the next several days. (PR)
