COVID UPDATE:
2 hospitalized; 133 new cases
As of Aug. 8, 2022, there are two individuals hospitalized as a result of COVID-19, according to the latest update from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. issued Tuesday.
Also, from July 31 to Aug. 6, 133 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI total to 12,866 cases since March 28, 2020.
From this report’s period of July 31 to Aug. 6, 2022, CHCC reports three new hospitalizations due to COVID-19. Based on this, it is presumed that one case has since been discharged.
Of the new cases, one was identified before July 31, 2022. Of the cases recently identified, seven were identified on July 31; 30 on Aug. 1, 2022 (one on Tinian); 20 on Aug. 2; 16 on Aug. 3; 21 on Aug. 4, 2022 (one on Tinian); 24 on Aug. 5; and 15 on Aug. 6, 2022 (one on Tinian)
The CNMI is in COVID-19 Community Level Medium.
Of the total cases identified so far, as of Aug. 6, 2022, there have been 12,732 recoveries; 96 active cases; and 38 COVID-19-related deaths.
A total of 11,789 were identified via community testing and 1,077 via travel testing.
