4 schools undefeated in girls MS v-ball

Saipan International School and Hopwood Middle School’s varsity teams both lead the girls NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Volleyball League 2022-2023 season with 3-0 records, while both Tanapag Middle School varsity and its junior varsity and Grace Christian Academy varsity are undefeated in two games, with all games played at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.
In their most recent conquest, the Geckos defeated Saipan Community School in two swift sets, 21-3, 21-8 last Thursday; last Tuesday, they beat Mount Carmel School, also in two sets, 21-6, 21-17; in the season opener, the Geckos outscored ChaCha Oceanview Middle School in two tough sets, 21-12, 21-10.
Meanwhile, HMS Hilitais mirrored the wins of the Geckos after defeating Mount Carmel School. 21-13, 21-14, defeating COVMS 21-7, 21-11, and beating Francisco M. Sablan Middle School 21-7, 21-17.
As for the TMS Tatagas varsity team, they are 2-0 after defeating DanDan Middle School last Thursday in two sets, 23-21, 21-14, and overpowering SCS in two sets in the season opener, 21-10, 21-4.
The TMS junior varsity team are also on a hot streak as they triumphed over SIS junior varsity, 21-18, 21-12, and beating FMS junior varsity, 21-11, 21-14.
The GCA Eagles varsity team, on the other hand, are undefeated after they won over SCS last Tuesday, 21-3, 21-8, and over MCS in the season opener, 21-16, 21-7.
In other results from last Thursday’s games, the GCA junior varsity team defeated DMS, 21-14, 21-10; FMS junior varsity trounced HSM junior varsity after three nail-biting sets, 14-21, 21-17, 15-13, while FMS varsity team swooped in for the win after three sets as well against COVMS, 13-21, 21-7, 15-11.
In the standings behind the Geckos, Hilitais, Tatagas, and Eagles, are FMS with a 1-2 card, DMS with 1-1, while MCS, SCS, and COVMS, are at 0-3. Tinian Jr. High School and Rota Jr. High School has yet to make an appearance.
