MACS: Professionally fulfilling your air cargo needs
When you finally receive your latest electronic gadgets, designer handbags, or even toys from the U.S. mainland, thank Micronesian Air Cargo Services.
For years the air cargo company launched in 2014 has been known primarily as a provider of airmail services to the U.S. Postal Services.
However, MACS operations manager Lara R. Santos said the air cargo company has grown to become so much more throughout the years.
“We can transport up to 3,000 lbs per flight and are capable of transporting home appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, etc. and also furniture,” she told Saipan Tribune.
Simply put, as its website maintains MACS, provides professional transport solutions including air freight and logistics services to businesses and individuals throughout the Marianas.
MACS relies on its fleet of four large turboprop Cessna 208 Caravans to load and deliver cargo safely and efficiently to Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Guam.
Santos said while flying to all four main islands of the Marianas chain, MACS has become a reliable cargo company for the who’s who of businesses in the region.
Just some of the companies that have put their trust in MACS include DHL Express, Ambyth Logistics, CTSI Logistics, FedEx, UPS, Triple B Forwarders, Cargo Express, Triple J Superfresh, “plus numerous other businesses that transport goods when needed like Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, just to name a couple,” according to Santos.
With over 80 years of combined experience, MACS’ talented and motivated team has also been recognized as one of the best in the industry.
As for current promotions, MACS has a “Thursday Special Rate” for cargo bound for Rota, which is quite timely after the northernmost island of the CNMI recently was affected by Typhoon Mawar.
Santos said for the past nine years, MACS has been a partner in fulfilling the Commonwealth’s cargo shipment needs and looks forward to servicing the islands in many more years to come.
“We are here to provide services to everyone. You don’t have to have an account with us to send or receive shipments. We have flights between Saipan and Guam daily from Monday to Saturday, to Rota on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and to Tinian on Tuesday and Friday.”
MACS is located at the Micronesian Air Cargo Services Hangar along Northwest Loop at the Francisco M. Palacios-Saipan International Airport. Its Saipan office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 3pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 12pm.
