3rd Annual Run Saipan & Salty Skin Pacific 5K tomorrow

The 3rd Annual Run Saipan & Salty Skin Pacific 5K is set for a sunset race tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 22, at 5:45pm.

The course is at the top of the Eloy S. Inos Peace Park in Puerto Rico.

The race always coincided with International Coastal Cleanup Day every Sept. 16, but was rescheduled due to it being a better date for the organizer.

Run Saipan president Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said, “It’s still our collaboration with Salty Skin Pacific for promoting health and wellness with their company, just not coinciding with International Coastal Cleanup Day anymore. The ICC time always conflicted with PSS cross country races so we wanted to make it a sunset race this time.”

Event T-shirts are available for participants, however, quantities are limited.

The fee is $10 and the race is nonrefundable.

In last year’s race, Michael Mancao came in first overall with a time of 22:34. Rosemarie Chisato topped the women’s category with a time of 28:26.
