Bolaven postpones all manner of sports on Saipan

Ongoing sports leagues in the CNMI are postponed due to Typhoon Bolaven.

The Inaugural SMEC-SMLEG Invitational Basketball Tournament 2023 playoffs, Inaugural R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Gov’t/Business League 2023 regular season, and school sports including the IT&E Interscholastic Boys Middle School Basketball League 2023-2024 regular season, NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Elementary School Soccer League 2023-2024 playoffs, and NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Girls Soccer League 2023-2024 regular season are postponed until further notice.

The Inaugural SMEC-SMLEG Invitational Basketball Tournament 2023 regular season just wrapped up last Sunday at the Gualo Rai Basketball Court. The playoffs will resume at a later date, according to league commissioner Sonny Ebuen.

According to Northern Mariana Islands Basketball Federation president James Lee, the Inaugural R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Gov’t/Business League 2023 regular season games yesterday and tomorrow are to be rescheduled.

School sports, according to Education interim commissioner Donna M. Flores on Monday, are postponed until further notice.

The IT&E Interscholastic Boys Middle School Basketball League 2023-2024 regular season game today and Friday, the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Elementary School Soccer League 2023-2024 playoffs game today and Friday, and the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Girls Soccer League 2023-2024 regular season game tomorrow and Friday, will be rescheduled at a later date.
