Run Saipan Zombie 5K tomorrow night
Wear your spookiest costumes as you run and weave through “zombies” in the 2nd Annual Run Saipan Zombie 5K at the Garapan Fishing Base at 6pm tomorrow night.
This time around, instead of “zombie runners,” the difference is there will be zombies strategically waiting to ambush runners throughout the Beach Road pathway.
“If you’re afraid of jump scares in the dark, this is the perfect race to conquer your fears!” said Run Saipan president Edward Dela Cruz Jr.
On how many he’s expecting to take on the course, he said,” I’m expecting less than 30 because I know people don’t have the guts to run a zombie-infested course in the dark on Saipan. I dare anyone to prove me wrong.”
There are two sponsors this year—The Athlete’s Foot and All Star Sporting Goods, but the prizes are a surprise. “This will be our first time initiating a Halloween costume theme,” said Dela Cruz.
“Special thanks to All Star and Athlete’s Foot for sponsoring our first time Halloween costume prizes”, said Dela Cruz.
