Latte FC teams oust foes in TakeCare soccer

Latte FC boys ousted their foes in the continuation of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville last Saturday.

The 14U boys team had a field day as they won a lopsided 19-1 match over Shirley’s FC, while the 17U boys team won over MP United FC, 3-1.

Shirley’s drew first blood in the seventh minute from Charles Molina’s cleats, but that was all they wrote for the rest of the match.

Latte’s strikers went straight to work as they put up eight goals in the first half, while they scored 11 in the second. Shirley’s goalie was clobbered with back-to-back goals from Kian Estolas, Emerson Brillo, and Julio Monserrat—just two minutes apart from each other.

Estolas then completed the hat-trick in the 21st minute, followed by another completed hat-trick from Brillo—plus two more goals from him at the end of the 31st minute. Brillo went on to score five more goals for a total of 11 out of the team’s 19 goals.

Estolas made six goals in total, while Edward Becina snuck one goal in the 32nd minute.

Latte’s Mark Patubo had a clear view of the pitch and maneuvered past MP United defenders with ease—scoring two goals by the end of the first half.

MP United could not seem to find their way into Latte territory until the 63rd minute when Sean Park nipped the net for their first goal. It would be their only goal of the game as their offense was shut down, while Latte’s Anthony Bergancia added another goal in the 71st minute.

In other results in the 12U boys division, Kanoa trounced Paire, 6-1; Matansa beat Southern United FC, 3-1; SUFC defeated Latte, 5-1 in the 14U girls division; Kanoa outscored Kanoa 2, 8-2; Paire and Shirley’s ended in a 2-2 draw; Kanoa blanked Matansa in the 14U boys division; MP United silenced Kanoa 2, 8-0; SUFC slipped past MP United, 3-2 in the 17U girls division; Paire and Shirley’s deadlocked at 4-4; and Kanoa triumphed over Matansa, 5-2 in the 17U boys division.
