Santos, Chen top NMI Congressional App Challenge
Mount Carmel School seniors Paul Santos and Jerry Chen’s winning app called NoteTime has won this year’s NMI Congressional App Challenge.
Their web-based application, NoteTime, automatically saves notes and allows users to access them through a menu. The team of two will receive national recognition and have their work eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol and will also be invited to attend the House of Code reception in Washington, D.C. this summer.
“Please join me in congratulating Paul and Jerry” Sablan said. “I am proud of all the amazing talent our students have displayed this year.”
This team of two was one of 17 total submissions this year, an increased participation from last year.
The Congressional App Challenge is an annual competition open to middle and high school students. Anyone interested in joining next year’s competition can visit https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/. (PR)
