The bank’s signature event enters its 17th year and is set for Saturday, March 9, 2024, with festivities set to begin at 5:30pm at the Plaza de España and Guam Museum grounds.

Bank of Guam said all proceeds will benefit both Guam Cancer Care and the Guam Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
“Over the years, our commitment toward the fight against cancer continues to grow and so does our belief that no one should fight alone. This year, we proudly commit 100% of our proceeds to both of our local cancer organizations who together, continue to advocate for our cancer survivors and caregivers,” said Joaquin P. LG. Cook, Bank of Guam’s president and chief executive officer. “We couldn’t think of a better of a better way celebrate 52 years as ‘The People’s Bank’ than doing the thing that means the most—celebrating our people. …I encourage everyone to come out and join us as we celebrate another year in service to our community but also, celebrate this fight and our spirit as a community to uplift and inspire those who need it most.”
Ed Lee, who is a development manager at the Guam Field Office of the American Cancer Society, said that Bank of Guam continues to be a big-hearted community partner with the American Cancer Society over many decades.
“The Hagåtña City Run & Block Party is an extension of the many ways Bank of Guam finds to support the people of Guam that have been affected by cancer. Our fight against cancer is stronger than ever with this partnership and we look forward to the big event,” Lee added.
