GMS Falcons going to NJSDA Nationals, Math Court Regionals
Jan. 27, 2024 was quite the active day for Green Meadows School Falcons and their coaches. Both Math Court/League and the National Junior Speech and Debate Association competitions were held last Saturday with over 60 students competing from kinder 5 to 8th grade.
GMS celebrated three 8th grade students who all qualified for the national level competition in their respective divisions—Nelisa Nicole Acaba’s “The Women of Lockerbie” in Dramatic Interpretation, Andrea Fhe Remilloza’s “Love Always Hurts” in Declamation, and Isabella Marie Mallari’s “To This Day” in Poetry.
During the Math Court K-2 Division competition siblings Arianne Therese (1st grade) and Liam Roy (2nd grade) Buston both qualified for regionals at their grade level. This brings the total number of qualified students to 15. The other Falcons who have qualified in previous competitions are:
