Easter messages of hope
Easter is the most important festival in the Christian calendar as it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It celebrates life and the hope of salvation. This Easter, we asked respected leaders of our community to share their messages of hope and wishes with the community.
“As we approach the culmination of the Lent season on our islands, first lady Wella and I extend our Easter greetings to everyone throughout the Marianas. As we do in the Commonwealth every year, Easter is celebrated as one of the most important holidays as it symbolizes the inspirational and powerful message of resilience and spiritual rebirth.

“For many families, this Easter weekend is also a time when we all reflect on the blessings in our lives and express gratitude for the gifts of family, friendships, and health. On Sunday, many will be gathering with loved ones—at home, by the beach, in local restaurants, or maybe even out at the farm. During these gatherings, take the opportunity to reconnect with one another and recommit to the values that are at the core of Easter: love, compassion, and forgiveness. May this Easter weekend be filled with rest, meaningful reflection, and joyful memories with those you love. And finally, may the spirit of renewal and hope that defines this season fill your spirits and guide you throughout the year. Happy Easter, Marianas!”

“This Good Friday and Easter Sunday, let us strengthen our faith in God and remember the valuable teachings from Jesus Christ—the message of love, compassion, and forgiveness for all mankind. Let us be mindful of everyone around us and extend our kindness and assistance to those in need because together, we can protect and help each other to make the world a better place. To all the first responders, frontline workers, service men and women, all those who are far away from home during this holy season, you are in our thoughts and prayers. May the celebration of Easter this year bring peace and happiness to you and your loved ones. Happy Easter!”

“On this very holy day, let us remember the immense sacrifice our Lord took for the salvation of all us. Let the joy and spirit of the resurrection lift up all those who are struggling and in despair. May those who have been touched by the Holy Spirit spread the good word to others in that they may celebrate the love of our Father in Heaven. We are all joined together to celebrate the resurrection of the Savior. We have all been blessed and saved by His sacrifice of His only son, which has cleansed us all of our sins. I hope this Easter finds you and your loved ones filled with a sense of peace and reverence. May you all have a blessed Easter!

Historically, Easter is a religious holy day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s a time of hope and salvation, a time to gather as friends and family to celebrate the risen Christ. It marks the end of Lent, which is traditionally a time of penance for Roman Catholics.

“Easter is for the believer, the unbeliever, the well, the broken, the found, the lost, the peaceful, the troubled, the healthy, the addict, the free, the convict, the welcomed, and the outcast. May the love and hope that is symbolized by Easter fill each heart this holy day as we commemorate the death and live-giving resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
