MP United leads U12, U14 boys division
MP United Football Club’s U12 and U14 teams racked up wins that landed them on top of their divisions in the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2024 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville last Saturday.
The U12 team scorched Paire FC, 8-0, which was a result of their aggressiveness and accuracy.
The ball was rolling in their favor from the opening whistle and it wasn’t too long before Kanoa Owens broke the ice seven minutes in. A minute later, Quido Jambor made it 2-nil. Paire didn’t even have time to recover as in the next minute, a goal was made by Beau Bauer, for a 3-0 game.
MP United owned the first half and continued their reign of terror on Paire’s goalie as Damien Camacho and Xavier Camacho went back-to-back for a 5-0 lead by the 18th minute.
Jambor went on to complete the hat-trick from successive goals in the 20th and 21st, for a 7-0 game. Paire couldn’t cool down MP United’s fire as Bauer scored their 8th goal in the 31st minute.
In the U14 game against Latte, MP United took a page out of their younger team’s book and blanked them, 4-0.
Kanoa Owens ripped one early on for a 1-0 lead just three minutes in. Latte did well to defend their goal until the 26th minute when Xavier Camacho found an opening and made it 2-0.
The first half went on quietly as both teams tried to get the better of the other, but they couldn’t deliver. The second half came and with a one kick in the 44th minute, Landon Springer put them up, 3-0. Then, five minutes later, Kimason Cabrera whipped one by and solidified a 4-0 lead.
Latte conceded as time ran out and they couldn’t put one on the board.
