For Camacho, she said she is “incredibly honored and grateful” for receiving the MVP award from BASA.

The award, she said, “is a symbol of my collective commitment to excellence. It’s a testament to the dedication and effort put in by every member of our team.”

“Winning the championship is not just about the victory itself, but about the countless hours of practice, teamwork, and perseverance that brought us to this moment,” she said. “I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and everyone who supported us along the way. I couldn’t be prouder to be part of such an amazing team. We’re thrilled to have our hard work recognized, and we’re looking forward to continuing our success in the future.”

For Maratita, she said on receiving the award, “I feel blessed and honored to achieve this award. Never in my lifetime would I ever thought I could only because I did it for fun and staying productive to keep in shape.”

When asked how the season was, she said, “this season was excitingly fun and fierce competition altogether.” She has been playing softball since she was in high school and has played softball in any opportunity presented to her, and said she’ll be back to play in the league next season.

“I would like to say thank you to the Budweiser BASA Softball League, our sponsor congressman [Rep. Roman Benavente (Ind-Saipan)], our families and friends who come out to cheer and supported us, [and] our coaches who are patient and have confidence in us. Lastly, [to] my team Lady Sufa for their love and awesome sportsmanship this season,” said Maratita.
