SCS announces and congratulates Class of 2024

Saipan Community School is thrilled to announce and celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2024. This exceptional group of students has demonstrated remarkable dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence throughout their time at SCS. The graduation ceremony featured inspiring speeches and presentations, including a class video presentation by Emma Sablan and Mickaella Yang.

Ray Patrick P. McDonald, the SCS STUCO president, delivered the president’s address and the graduation address was given by educator Debbra Flores.

The following are the recipients of this year’s special awards:

Scholar Athlete Award: Richard Zhao. This award recognizes Zhao’s outstanding ability to balance academic excellence with participation in multiple community sports and athletics both inside and outside of school.

Citizenship Award: Elin Kim. This award honors Kim’s exemplary qualities and characteristics of a good citizen among her classmates.

Salutatorian: Jose Peter T. Sablan.

Valedictorian: Annabella Jelyn M. Tudela.

In her valedictorian speech, Tudela reflected on the journey through middle school, expressing gratitude to her family, friends, and the SCS staff for their unwavering support. She encouraged her fellow graduates to embrace challenges, strive for excellence, and cherish their memories at SCS. Tudela shared her personal story of perseverance, urging her classmates to never give up and always pursue their dreams.

Sablan, the salutatorian, shared a touching lesson on appreciating the present and the people around us. Drawing from his experiences in the SCS band and a favorite game, Brawl Stars, Sablan illustrated the importance of choosing one’s path and striving for success. His heartfelt thanks went out to his family, friends, and the SCS community for their continuous support.

The Saipan Community School Class of 2024 includes the following graduates: Ian Chae, Sen Huang, Soo Ho Jin, Christine Kim, Elin Kim, Patrick McDonald, Daniel Nae, Ji Hun Park, Emma Sablan, Jose Sablan, Erine So, Annabella Tudela, Mickaella Yang, and Richard Zhao.
