Teriong appointed to Palau Community College board of trustees

Palau Community College board of trustees welcomed its newest member, Leo Ben Teriong, last Aug. 14.

He was sworn in by the chairman of the board, Kione J. Isechal.

The new board member came about as a result of the term of longtime board member and chair Rev. Billy G. Kuartei that ended in February 2024.

Kuartei opted not to be considered for an additional term as he wanted to step aside and focus on family and other commitments. Teriong took an oath to serve a four-year term and was witnessed by PCC president Dr. Patrick U. Tellei, PCC vice president Jay Olegeriil, BOT vice chair and PCC representative to the board of regents Dr. Emais Roberts, BOT secretary/treasurer Romana Wong, student trustee Weber Santiago, and former student trustees Kobe Moses and O’Keef Kokichi. The PCC students, staff, and faculty welcome Teriong and look forward to his dedicated service with the college. (PR)
