Ryan Joseph accepted to AGB Studios
The CNMI’s Ryan Joseph has achieved a significant milestone by gaining acceptance into AGB Studios, a prestigious celebrity-based acting program in Los Angeles. After successfully navigating a rigorous three-step interview process, Joseph emerged as one of the Top 20 applicants from a pool of 250, boasting an acceptance rate of just 30%.
David Deluise, the founder of AGB Studios and known for his role as Jerry Russo on “Wizards of Waverly Place,” personally selected Joseph and the rest of the applicants for this opportunity. Deluise will also serve as one of Joseph’s mentors throughout the program.
Each week, Joseph will be guided by various celebrity coaches, having already met with notable figures such as Annelise Van Der Pol, who portrayed Chelsea in “That’s So Raven” and “Raven’s Home,” and Blake Michael, a lead in “Dog With a Blog” and “Lemonade Mouth.” Recently, Joseph had the chance to meet John Lehr, famous for his role in the Geico commercials and appearances on “Friends” and “Jesse.” Lehr, who is also a comedian and scriptwriter, will provide valuable insights during Joseph’s training.
Other esteemed coaches lined up for Joseph include Jennifer Stone, known for her role as Harper in “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Ashley Argota from “True Jackson VP,” Amber Frank of “The Haunted Hathaways,” and Ricardo Hurtado from “School of Rock” and “Malibu Rescue.”
As part of the program, Joseph will have the opportunity to film a scene or short film with one of his celebrity coaches, which will be showcased during a special Showcase Night. This event will attract directors, producers, agents, and casting directors from major platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, providing Joseph with potential opportunities for future bookings and projects.
Having relocated to California in January 2024, Joseph is making remarkable strides in the entertainment industry. He is currently engaged in 15 weeks of intensive training, followed by a three-day film rehearsal and shoot scheduled for late this year or early January 2025. (PR)
