Back-to-school haircut on Rota a success

ROTA—The Office of Representative Julie Ogo, in collaboration with the Saipan Maga’haga Lady Eagles Club and their president Maria Aileen, the Rota Mayor’s Office, Mayor Aubrey Hocog, and the 19th Rota Municipal Council, is proud to announce the resounding success of this year’s Annual Back-to-School Haircut Free Service Event.

The event, which provides free haircuts to children preparing for the new school year, surpassed last year’s number of participants, marking an outstanding achievement in community service.

With the addition of a new hairstylist this year, we were also able to extend services to a few senior citizens, making the event more inclusive and reflective of our commitment to all members of the community.

Ogo expressed her gratitude to everyone who made this year’s event a success and shared plans to expand this outreach program in the future. “It’s our goal to extend this service to the elderly and disabled residents of Rota, ensuring that everyone in our community feels supported and cared for,” said Ogo.

This year’s event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the following hairstylists, who generously took time from their schedules to lend their talents:

Noel Casquero “Sharmaine” – Mommyla Beauty Salon, Saipan

Remyl Raymundo “Jana”–Creative Salon, Saipan

Rowin Regonas – Creative Salon, Saipan

Arnel Paquio – OB Beauty Salon, Rota

Additionally, Ogo would like to express her sincere appreciation to the following government and private sector entities for their support and services:

Coral Garden Hotel

FunFlatables

Rota Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services

“The success of this year’s event reflects the power of community collaboration and shared values. We look forward to continuing this initiative and expanding our outreach to even more members of the Rota community in the years to come,” said Ogo.
