Bat Dat Ass up brings down AB Team, 15-8
Bat Dat Ass Up brought down AB Team, 15-8, in the continuation of the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Men’s Slow Pitch Open League last Sunday at the Dandan Softball Field.
AB Team led the game off with a solo shot by Ricky Joe Riungel. But Bat Dat Ass Up started and ended strong as they pummeled AB Team pitcher Bobby Castro in the first inning with four runs to make it 4-1.
AB Team then retaliated in the second with six runs including two homers by Riungel and Mac Scaliem to take the lead, 7-4. At the bottom of the second, Bat Dat Ass Up pitcher Keahie Omapas helped his cause by hitting a two-run bomb to get them within one, 6-7.
Both teams then went radio silent in the next few innings, but the tide changed in the fifth in favor of Bat Dat Ass Up.
Six runs would round the bases for Bat Dat Ass Up as Castro could not get a good handle on his pitches. John Deleon Guerrero started the inning with a solo shot, followed by runs from Jesus Tyquiengco, Omapas, John Diaz, Albert, and John Agulto.
Finally, the inning ended but by the time the dust settled, Bat Dat Ass Up led, 12-7. Only one more run would come in for AB Team from a solo home run by Ping Norita to make it 8-12, while Bat Dat Ass Up went on to score three more in the sixth.
It was enough to secure the win as AB Team could not make further contact and succumbed to an 8-15 loss.
In other results, Yayaya beat Saipal, 12-7; Parre’ Pack bombed Taotao Mona, 10-6; Blue Jays upset The Kliq, 12-10; Homies overpowered Ur Balls, 13-4; Just4Fun defeated Brotherhood, 14-4; Wazzup bid Team Luchan adieu, 10-8; and Red Torch fired their way past Aimeliik Bat Boys, 6-3.
