Northern Marianas College tourism students, instructor Larry Lee and LaoLao Bay Golf Resort staff member Randall Marcelo during their recent class field trip. (NMC)  Students from the Northern Marianas College’s TS103: Introduction to the Hospitality Industry recently visited the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort in Kagman to tour the resort’s outstanding hotel facility and learn about the company’s food and beverage services, recreational facilities, and resort operations.

LaoLao Bay’s IT Assistant Randall Marcelo led the students on a tour of several of the various ultra-modern hotel suites and guestrooms, spa facility, restaurant, kitchen, karaoke lounge, and golf course staging area. The students were also introduced to the various career and internship opportunities and current entry-level job openings at the resort.

According to NMC instructor Larry Lee, “this type of hands-on experience really broadens our students’ perspectives, especially as they learned so much about one of our premier local resort and recreational facilities, and the qualities and attitudes necessary to succeed in the tourism/hospitality field.” (NMC)
