The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Vincent J. Seman to the Northern Marianas College board. Seman, who represents Saipan, becomes the youngest member of the seven-person board.

The appointment of Fermin M. Atalig, a representative of Rota, is still awaiting Senate action.

Seman, son of Rep. Bernadita Seman, who was herself member and chairwoman of the NMC board, said he would concentrate on moving away “from the quantity side of offering courses and instead focus on the quality aspect.”

He said he is interested in joining the board’s fiscal committee.
