A Filipino died from fractured skull after he fell from a roof while doing carpentry work at Chalan Kanoa area last Sunday.

Based on police reports, a two by four piece of wood gave way while the victim was working on the roof of the house being renovated.

He was rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center where he was pronounced dead past 12 high noon.

DPS spokesperson Rose Ada said the victim was an employee of Antonio Benavente whose name was withheld until his immediate families are informed.

Sources from the Philippine Consulate identified the victim as a certain Rafael Sandaga, 50 years old from Baguio City. He reportedly arrived on Saipan in the early 80’s and had no records at the Consulate after the Philippine government established the office in 1989. However, its Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is pursuing the case.
