The Marianas Visitors Authority has launched the newest addition to its website(www.visit-marianas.com) today. The site now includes the Visit ’99 Calendar of Events.

While the site retains many of its features, including information on accommodations, attractions, and other general information, the Visit ’99 section includes information resource about the events in all three islands and search capability which allows users to access accurate information quickly. In addition, the site utilizes a searchable database that allows us to update and maintain the content of the site easily and quickly.

MVA is also planning to update the other sections of the site such as accommodations, dining, activities to name a few. Members of MVA were asked to complete a form provided by the tourism office which asked for a detailed information about their products and services.

According to Perry Tenorio, MVA managing director, “the website is designed to promote the destination as well as our members’ products and services. MVA is utilizing the latest technologies so that the information is kept accurate and updated.”

MVA hopes to further explore the potential of travel and tourism on the web and continue to refine and develop the site to become a more effective marketing tool as well as take advantage of the unique benefits this dynamic technology has to offer.

In the future, MVA hopes to reach the media and travel trade by including the monthly visitor arrivals, news release and photo gallery. Maps will be improved to include historical and dive sites.
