PIA adds flight for
Rota-Guam route

Pacific Island Aviation, Inc. is making available an additional flight between Rota and Guam on May 24th. The flight will depart at 9:00 AM and depart from Guam at 12:30 PM. Passengers will be able to travel three times daily between Saipan and Guam in the morning, mid-day and later afternoon.

Bob Christian, chief executive officer of PIA, said, “There was a need to add an additional flight segment to our existing service due to incrtease customer demand brought about by the successful marketing efforts of the MVA.”
Doll Boddy, PIA’s general manager, confirms the customer increases and said the airline is already making bookings for the flight even though it will not be available on computer system until the 21st.

Nursing leader’s conference

The CNMI Nursing Association is inviting all nurses in private clinics as well as retired nurses on the island to attend the 21st American Pacific Nursing Leaders’ Council Conference Week on June 14-18, 1999.

According to Diego Kaipat, chair of the conference planning committee, the delegates will come from American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam Hawaii Republic of Marshall Islands and the Republic of Belau. This year’s conference theme, “Trans-cultural Nursing in the Next Millennium,” hopes to discuss various issues confronting the nursing profession.

Members of the association will have scheduled appearance on MCV in the John Anderson Show on June 9, 1999 at 7:00 PM; I Taotaota Show on June 10, 1999 at 7:00 PM.

The nursing association would like to thank the business community, organizations and individuals who have given donations to ensure the conference’s success.
