CUC asked to set up Kagman office

The chair of the House Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation and Communication has asked the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation to open a payment office in Kagman to service residents in the area and neighboring villages.

The chair of the House Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation and Communication has asked the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation to open a payment office in Kagman to service residents in the area and neighboring villages.

Rep. David M. Apatang said more than 1,000 residents have been forced to commute to CUC offices in Dandan and San Jose to pay their bills and a nearby customer service may help alleviate the inconveniences.

“This will also resolve the disconnection problems, if any, because the payment facility is accessible to them,” he said in a letter to CUC Chairman Juan S. Dela Cruz.

The government-owned utility firm will open later this month a customer service center in Garapan to give access to customers living in the northern part of Saipan.

According to CUC Executive Director Timothy P. Villagomez, they will also establish its office in Kagman for its residents in the near future.
