In an effort to meet the needs of the community, Grace Christian Academy in Tinian will offer a half-day, 3-year-old kindergarten program for the school year 1999-2000.

Far from simply being a day care operation, the K-3 program will include an organized curriculum that will challenge and prepare children for school.

The program was tested last year at the school and found to be very effective. “Now we are ready to go,” said Grace Christian’s principal, Rev. Reid.

Prerequisites for the program include the following: children must be three years of age by August of 1999, and they must be potty trained.

Cultural exchange orientation

The Saipan Jaycees, in cooperation with the Saipan Mayor’s Office, will host an orientation on Saturday, June 26, 1999, 6:00 PM at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library for 24 Saipan students who will depart for South Korea for a cultural exchange program.

The students will leave on June 30th for the four-day program.
