Art exhibit at the Museum
Selected art works by Chen Xiao Ping will be on display at the CNMI Museum starting today and will run until the end of the month.
Entitled the Exhibit of the Works of Chen Xiao Ping, it includes the artist’s recent and select masterpieces.
The Friends of the Arts and the Museum is hosting today an informal reception from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The general public is invited to attend.
Today’s event is free, but admission fee will be charged during regular visitor hours.

Soil and water
conservation meeting
The Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District would like to inform the general public that there will be a district meeting on July 6, 1999 at 2:00 PM at the Natural Resources Conservation Service Office in Garapan.
The Saipan Interagency Watershed meeting has also be scheduled for July 14, 1999 at 9:30 AM at the Department of Public Works.

Jehovah’s Witness
convention
Jehovah’s Witness throughout the Northern Marianas will host a convention on July 3 and 4, 1999 at Gualo Rai.
Entitled God’s Prophetic Word District Convention, the event will have sessions at 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM during the two-day convention.
On Sunday, a biblical drama will be staged at 11:10 AM. Public discussion will follow at 1:40 PM, tackling the subject “Making All Things New – As Foretold.”
All sessions are open to the public.

Red Cross annual
Club 200
The Red Cross will be holding its Club 200 dinner/raffle fundraising on September 4, 1999 at the poolside of the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The highlight of the event is a raffle draw with a grand prize of $25,000. Other prizes at stake are two vehicles, $10,000 and $5,000 cash plus gift certificate worth $2,500, off-island trips and appliances.
Ticket price is $200 per couple.
