Tamiko Winkfield, Audra Winkfield and Tracy Feger, members of the Saipan Swim Club, will participate in the Hawaiian Invitational Waterpolo Tournament next week.

Since the island’s swim club does not have enough swimmers in any age group to make up a team of 10 players, the three have been invited to play for the Kamehameha Warriors age group teams. Tammy will be on the 14 years and under, while Audra and Tracy on the 16 and under.

Also, Xenavee Pangelinan will be leaving next week to compete in a major swimming competition in the new Olympic pool in Sydney for the Pac Pacific Swimming championships. She will be competing in the 400 and 200 individual medley, the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly beginning Aug. 22, 1999.

Top swimmers from the US, Australia, Japan and several South American countries will participate.

In the past swimmers Mike Villagomez, Alex Screen and Jon Sakovich competed in the event in Brisbane, and Jon, Brent Thompson and Anneka Sakovich in Tokyo.
